About this Role
Blue Building Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metal fabrication for various construction and renovation projects. The Welder will ensure that all welds are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Welding: Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding on different metals and alloys.
Fabrication: Cut, shape, and assemble metal components based on blueprints and specifications.
Inspection: Conduct visual and diagnostic inspections of welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.
Maintenance: Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Welder or in a similar role.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in welding is a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Knowledge of different metals and alloys and their welding properties.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license; welding certification is a plus.
Tools: Familiarity with welding tools and equipment.
