About this Role
Blue Building Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Scaffolder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for erecting, dismantling, and maintaining scaffolding structures for various construction projects. The Scaffolder will ensure that all scaffolding is assembled safely and securely, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Scaffolding Assembly: Erect and dismantle scaffolding structures following blueprints and specifications.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all scaffolding is assembled securely and meets safety regulations and standards.
Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain scaffolding equipment and structures to ensure safety and functionality.
Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by setting up base plates, tubes, and other necessary components.
Collaboration: Work closely with other construction workers and supervisors to ensure scaffolding is positioned correctly and safely.
Problem Solving: Identify and address any issues or obstacles that may arise during the scaffolding process.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of scaffolding work, inspections, and any incidents or issues.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Scaffolder or in a similar role.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in scaffolding is a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in erecting, dismantling, and maintaining scaffolding structures.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design specifications.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license; Scaffolder certification is a plus.
Tools: Familiarity with scaffolding tools and equipment.
