About this Role
Blue Building Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing systems for various construction and renovation projects. The Roofer will ensure that all roofing work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Roof Installation: Install new roofs using materials such as asphalt, shingles, metal, and tiles.
Roof Repair: Perform repairs on existing roofs, including replacing damaged shingles or tiles and fixing leaks.
Roof Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to extend the lifespan of roofs.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and materials needed.
Gutter Installation: Install or repair gutters and downspouts to ensure proper drainage.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience as a Roofer or in a similar role.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in roofing is a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in installing and repairing various types of roofing materials, such as asphalt, shingles, metal, and tiles.
Ability to use roofing tools and equipment effectively.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license; Roofing certification or license is a plus.
Tools: Familiarity with roofing tools and equipment.
