About this Role
Blue Building Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems for various construction and renovation projects. The Plumber will ensure that all plumbing work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Installation: Install and repair plumbing systems and fixtures, including pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, showers).
Reading Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and materials needed.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide effective solutions.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems to ensure functionality and longevity.
Compliance: Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Customer Service: Interact with clients in a professional manner, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or questions.
Requirements
Experience:Â Minimum 1 years of experience as a Plumber or in a similar role.
Education:Â High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in plumbing is a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Physical Requirements:Â Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
Licenses/Certifications:Â Valid driver's license; Plumber's license or certification is a plus.
Tools:Â Familiarity with plumbing tools and equipment.
