About this Role
Blue Building Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting for various construction and renovation projects. The Painter will ensure that all painting work is completed to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and applying primers or sealers.
Paint Application: Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, cabinets, and furniture.
Color Matching: Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades and hues.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure quality and consistency of the finished product.
Customer Service: Interact with clients in a professional manner, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or questions.
Requirements
Experience:Â Minimum 1 years of experience as a Painter or in a similar role.
Education:Â High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in painting is a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in various painting techniques, including brush, roller, and spray application.
Ability to work with different types of paints, stains, and finishes.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Physical Requirements:Â Ability to lift heavy materials, work on ladders, and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
Licenses/Certifications:Â Valid driver's license; Painting certification is a plus.
Tools:Â Familiarity with painting tools and equipment.
